I found an old journal today...

I found an old journal today, one I wrote in 2011.  I love capturing great quotes, philosophies or just wise comments about life from people I have met.  A while ago on the first day of my very first company, I chose this quote and placed it in a frame.  “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”  That has been my philosophy for as long as I remember... in the days when disruption was a seen as bad thing.  Now I and others understand its value.  Here are a few others I found in my journal.

  • The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination.  Albert Einstein

  • Everyone can create a life that has nothing to do with their past.

  • I am the architect of my future. Expanding my imagination and creating a blueprint of my life in the workshop of my mind.

  • Trust yourself and create the kind of life you will be happy to live with ... all of your life.

  • Clearly defined priorities and goals for every aspect of your life will serve as a lighthouse, offering guidance and refuge when seas become rough.

  • In the long run, the pessimist may be proved right...but the optimist has a better time on the trip.

Let me know your favourite quotes and how they have shaped you.
