I found an old journal today, one I wrote in 2011. I love capturing great quotes, philosophies or just wise comments about life from people I have met. A while ago on the first day of my very first company, I chose this quote and placed it in a frame. “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” That has been my philosophy for as long as I remember... in the days when disruption was a seen as bad thing. Now I and others understand its value. Here are a few others I found in my journal.

I am the architect of my future. Expanding my imagination and creating a blueprint of my life in the workshop of my mind.
Trust yourself and create the kind of life you will be happy to live with ... all of your life.
Clearly defined priorities and goals for every aspect of your life will serve as a lighthouse, offering guidance and refuge when seas become rough.
In the long run, the pessimist may be proved right...but the optimist has a better time on the trip.
Let me know your favourite quotes and how they have shaped you.
