Big Shout Out to Recruiters

... on behalf of the one million Australians currently unemployed and who may be applying for the jobs you advertise, meticulously crafting persuasive cover letters, tailoring their CVs to highlight their skills relevant to the job description... please respond. And I don’t mean an automated rejection letter sent because an algorithm doesn’t have the (artificial) intelligence to understand that the words bid/proposal/tender/submission in a CV can all mean the same thing depending on the industry. And yes, there are great recruiters who have continued to deliver outstanding customer experience and service excellence both to candidates and to their clients simply out of professional courtesy. Those are the recruiters who, when the economy starts to recover, will be chosen as trusted advisers to handle our recruitment needs.  So, if you don’t have the capacity/time/effort/resources, then please take on an intern to help you handle the responses. There are great Uni students studying Communications, Marketing etc who are seeking internships and who would love to gain first-hand experience. What a great way to utilise the skills currently available...and everyone benefits.  Don’t you think?
